Be not silence love,
Reclaim this ravaged heart.
Profess thy life, thy love,
At midnight before thy god.

Resistance? I have none.
Turn? Alas, I cannot.
Be not silent love,
For the longing of thy heart.

A lightless plateau within me
Forms intensity
Shapes temperance.
Be it all gold-plated, pray not,
But refined as precious, pure in a crucible fire,
Casting the lot sharp, fitted and fast,
Lead on by white flame,
Laid to rest in heaven’s bosom.

GHOST

An imperial light and
He's here again
My consort, veiled in mist.
Nothing obscures the vision
Nor inhibits my hand reaching out.
My love
Hovering over my life.
Nobody knows
The secret I hold
Tight and protected with my very breath.
Centuries are delayed
So that I may pass back
To grasp golden cobwebs entwining an imprisoned heart.

I lie in chamber,
And perceive that of a spirit
Accompanying me.
Lightening playing in the night,
Impregnates my waiting mind.

With long endeavor cometh he,
Though I hear no gentle footfall.
Drenched in dreams
I lay
Resistance unheeded
For a severe love.

Nothing to fear,
Says the wraith.

Laden
Unaided
I wish in desperation for ease.
Be a blossom, opening in
Morning
To gentle and dew kissed hands.

Life in another time,
All those dervishes have it,
A dance and a song in another year
Words in my ears now came yesterday.

Want to play my game?
Chancing you to be caught in tomorrow,
But never now.
Never now.
Never now.
You see?

So light the night,
Be it of flame or flashes from the sky.
Light the night and we'll dance in one thousand, sing in two,
Born in BC, love in AD and die
In the thirty-first century.

My fingers were once warm in sand
Tracing words, symbols
The sun made the sand
Warm and dry,
Made it slip through my fingers.
The waves now crash over the sand and my fingers
That saltiness covers my face, blocking out lambent light.
Come love, reach for me
Through the wet, the protector's hand, his
Eyes like afternoon sky.
Draw near, take hold,
Kiss away all rememberance of drowning.

Oppressive world
In all your density and passion
Allow but a glimmer of lit expanse
In your lonely heart
For the unconditional

KITE

A rise on the wind and I’m sailing
Skimming the water with my feet and
I’m up and away
Leaving all behind
Up and away, high flying, to be buried
In clouds
Resurrected in sunlight.
Hello down there all you poor souls
Unable to bounce on the wind
Too bad for you, so glad for me
Up here alone,
Close to the blue eyes of God.

Upon landing I crash into water
Down again, emersed and rising to lay
and hold earth close and warm to the sun.
Oh, you little earth, looking so a moment ago,
But now I cannot embrace your expanse
Or hope to conquer even a grain of sand.
